Sorry for the late post, everyone! I hope you all had a fun and/or restful Memorial Day.

We were asked, What is the difference between breath and breathe?

With examples from House, Law & Order: SVU, and Stargate: SG-1.

The bad news: A small mistake like this one can ruin your story for the attentive, grammar-knowledgeable reader.

The good news: A small mistake like this one is easy to fix.

In the Stargate SG-1 Season 4 episode “2010,” Jack O’Neill has the following exchange with Sam’s husband, Joe:

Jack: Did you get it?
Joe: Yes.
Sam: Thank you.
Joe: What are you gonna do with it?
Jack: Send a message.
Joe: To who?
Jack: To whom.

Is Jack right? Should Joe have used 'whom'? If so, why? )
